Packed up this order and shipped it off today. I’m trying to keep up with my orders through the grief. I usually reach out to each customer who orders to ask for any color preferences they might have. This wonderful customer wanted pink eyes and white extras. So she got my pink quartz eyes and then white flowers and butterflies made just for her since I didn’t have any of those premade :). I hope they love her!!

This beautiful bag was a “me” make. It sat mostly finished for probably a full year, just waiting for a handle, a lining, and apparently for me to rediscover the will to finish it. 😂 But she’s finally done, and I love her SO much!

The gorgeous yarn is from @nicole_hueloco. I had never even heard of Hue Loco before the Terracotta set appeared in my feed, but it was absolutely love at first sight. I don’t know what it is about this colorway, but it speaks straight to my soul. Just looking at it gives me all the warm fuzzies.

Then I saw they were restocking it, so naturally I bought myself the blanket kit for my birthday on Saturday. Soon I’ll be able to wrap myself in all this prettiness.

But now I’m wondering…would it be too much to buy MORE and make a sweater too? Then I could carry my bag while wrapped in my blanket, wearing my matching sweater.

That’s not too much, right? 😂🧶🤎✨

LHeartmade isn’t just a tagline. ❤️

When I first started making plushies, I had an idea.

I wanted to tuck a tiny crochet heart inside each one before closing it up.

Not because anyone would ever see it, but because I loved the thought of sending a little extra love along with it.

I don’t always remember. But whenever I do tuck one inside, it makes me smile.

Because at the end of the day, handmade isn’t just about what we make.

It’s about how we make people feel. ❤️

Today’s craft supply list:

✔ Balloons
✔ Orbeez
✔ Children
✔ Questionable decision making

We spent the afternoon making homemade Orbeez squishies, and honestly, it was a hit.

Were they fun? Absolutely.

Did they eventually pop? Also absolutely. 😂

The squishies with fewer Orbeez, less water, and less balloon stretch obviously lasted much longer. Apparently stretching a balloon to its maximum capacity isn’t the best recipe for longevity. 🤣🤣 but it was so fun watching every inch of space get over taken by these growing beads.

The kids didn’t seem to mind. They spent hours squishing them, comparing them, and carrying them around before each one met its inevitable fate.

As much as I love creating things for My Yarn Oasis, some of my favorite projects are the ones I do with my kids. These are the moments they’ll remember long after the balloons are gone and the last stray Orbeez has been discovered under the couch.

A closer look because this sweet dragon really deserves the attention.

The wings and tail are wired, so they’re actually poseable… which means you can shape them instead of everything just sitting flat.

The spine and tail were designed to feel a little more organic… almost like moss or grass growing along it, with small flowers worked all the way down.

And the tail itself is shaped like a flower petal, which ended up being one of my favorite parts once it came together.

It’s a small detail, but it makes a big difference in how it feels once it’s in your hands.

A closer look because this sweet dragon really deserves the attention.

They’re flexible, so you don’t have to worry about them cracking the second you actually use them (which… is kind of the problem with most wax seals).

And of course I couldn’t leave them plain. These are all inspired by Ellowen Vale, so they fit right in with everything else I’ve been creating lately.

…and then suddenly you’re reworking parts, adjusting shapes, and side-eyeing it like “why are you being difficult?”

But then it comes together and now I’m sitting here like yeah okay, you’re cute. You can stay. (You can’t actually stay, but I considered it.)

Also not gonna lie, I love how this one turned out. It’s got just enough attitude to not be *too* sweet
