At My Yarn Oasis, I believe that handmade joy should be for everyone. That includes making sure my website (www.myyarnoasis.com) is welcoming and accessible to all visitors, including those using assistive technologies.

My Commitment to Accessibility

I want everyone to be able to enjoy browsing, shopping, and learning about my creations with the same ease and comfort. This site has been built with accessibility in mind, following WCAG 2.1 guidelines at the AA level, so it works well with tools like screen readers and keyboard navigation.

Steps I’ve Taken

Added alternative text to images so they can be understood without visuals
Organized content so it reads in a clear, logical order
Chosen colors that meet contrast guidelines for visibility
Reduced motion where possible for a calmer browsing experience
Tested with accessibility tools to identify and address potential barriers

Some areas of the site may include third-party features—like social media embeds—that I can’t fully control. While I do my best to make all content accessible, there may be occasional limitations.

Accessibility in our physical business

My Yarn Oasis operates primarily online. When attending craft markets or in-person events, we aim to choose venues that are accessible to individuals with mobility needs.
